Terms of Use
1. Scope
These Terms of Use apply to the Alltagsfaden app. Provider: Britta Bartel (private individual), Hummelweg 11, 50859 Cologne, Germany — info@alltagsfaden.de.
The app is distributed via the Apple App Store. The Apple Standard EULA also applies to licensing and in-app purchase billing. This page covers user content and specific Alltagsfaden features.
2. Your content and copyright
You are responsible for what you capture, store, or process in the app. You may only use content you are authorized to use.
Recipes from photos, text, or AI
Alltagsfaden can optionally capture recipes from photos of recipe pages, pasted text, or via AI (your own OpenAI API key).
- Capturing complete, copyright-protected recipes from cookbooks, magazines, or websites may be unlawful without permission from the rights holder.
- The app is for private family organization, not for reproducing or distributing protected works.
- Use these features only if you are authorized (e.g. your own recipes, permitted sources, explicit permission, or legally permitted limits).
- The provider does not review copyright compliance. You are responsible.
3. Health, allergies, and taboos
Alltagsfaden is not a medical or dietary advice app. Taboos and “Essentials” are organizational aids — not a guarantee that ingredients are fully detected or avoided.
- For allergies or medical requirements, you must verify yourself ingredient lists, labels, and suggestions (including AI).
- Barcode data (Open Food Facts), web search (Spoonacular), and AI results may be incomplete or incorrect.
- Technical taboo checks are best-effort, not exhaustive.
- You are responsible for dietary decisions based on the app.
4. Optional services
Family data is synced via Firebase. OpenAI (AI), Spoonacular (recipe search), and Open Food Facts (barcode) may be used optionally. See Privacy Policy.
5. Subscription
If a subscription is offered, App Store pricing and cancellation terms apply. Billing through your Apple ID account.
6. Liability
The app is provided as available. AI, taboo, and recognition features may be wrong — please review suggestions, especially for allergens. Liability limitations to the extent permitted by law.
7. Changes
These Terms of Use may be updated. The current version is always available on this page.
